Power forward Elijah Thomas has committed to Texas A&M, giving the Aggies their fourth top 100 recruit in the class of 2015. Thomas is considered one of the best big men in the class. He’s ranked as high as No. 20 in the class by Rivals, and as low as No. 38 by 247 Sports.
Elijah Thomas commits to Texas A&M
Billy Kennedy has put together a remarkable recruiting class in 2015.

Thomas joins an incredible recruiting class by Billy Kennedy that already includes center Thomas Davis, shooter D.J. Hogg and wing Admon Gilder. The addition of Thomas gives Texas A&M four of the five best players in the state of Texas in 2015, with only point guard Juwan Evans (an Oklahoma State commit) going elsewhere.
Thomas chose the Aggies over Illinois, Oklahoma State and SMU. The 6’9, 230-pound forward slipped a bit in the class rankings over the summer largely due to being out of shape after recovering from a torn ligament in his finger. Thomas has soft touch around the rim and should team with Davis to give Texas A&M an extremely promising front line of the future.
Texas A&M has not made the NCAA Tournament in Kennedy’s three seasons as head coach.
