Five-star recruit Isaiah Briscoe, a 2015 guard, told Adam Zagoria that he will cut his list of schools to three on Saturday before making his college decision. The 6’3 guard has taken visits to St. John’s, UConn, Kentucky, Missouri, Seton Hall and Rutgers. Briscoe is on record saying he will make his decision soon.

Here’s the latest in the news surrounding the top high school basketball players in the country.


In the Crystal Ball from 247Sports, Kentucky is listed as having a 51 percent likelihood of landing the consensus top point guard in the nation, with St. John’s coming in next at 30 percent. Briscoe’s coach at Roselle Catholic High School, Dave Boff, told the New York Post that St. John’s has “clearly developed a great relationship with Isaiah and that puts you in a good position”. The Newark, N.J., native has spoken highly about Kentucky in the past, among others.
Carlton Bragg
Carlton Bragg, a five-star prospect from Ohio, informed Adam Zagoria and Chip Miller that he has talked with recruits Brandon Ingram and Jaylen Brown about a possible package deal.The 6’8 forward’s top schools are Kentucky, Kansas, UCLA and Illinois. Bragg visited Kentucky for Big Blue Madness and will visit UCLA Oct. 31. He also plans on visiting Illinois in the future.
Brown has offers from Kansas, Kentucky, UCLA, among others, and Ingram’s top schools are Kansas, Kentucky, Duke, North Carolina, N.C. State and UCLA. While there is no certainty regarding this package deal, there is no doubt that if it happens, it will be tremendous for that school.
Tyus Battle
Coming off a visit to Kentucky for Big Blue Madness, class of 2016 star Tyus Battle will visit Duke this weekend for their Midnight Madness event, according to Adam Zagoria. Battle has offers from Duke, Kentucky, Louisville and UConn and visited Syracuse earlier in October.
The consensus five-star prospects has also been visited recently by Rick Pitino of Louisville and assistants from Syracuse and Ohio State. 247Sports’ Crystal Ball predicts that Duke has the greatest probability of him signing there at 64 percent, followed by Kentucky and ‘Cuse, who each have an 18 percent shot.
Diamond Stone
Diamond Stone, an elite center prospect from Milwaukee, will visit Wisconsin this weekend and UConn before Nov. 12, when he’s scheduled to announce his college decision. Stone recently visited Maryland, Duke and Oklahoma State. Duke is the latest school to be cut from his list, leaving Maryland, UConn and Oklahoma State as the finalists.
Currently, the Crystal Ball from 247Sports gives UConn a 44 percent chance at landing the center, with Wisconsin second at 28 percent.
Antonio Blakeney
Blakeney is the former Louisville commit who flipped the recruiting world upside down when he decommitted from the Cardinals 12 days later after his verbal. The race for his services is just getting going again. He will visit Kentucky on Nov. 1 and LSU the next week for official visits.
Blakeney plans on visiting North Carolina and N.C. State as well, according to Evan Daniels. Recently, both schools each had in-home visits with the 2015 guard.
A few weeks ago, Blakeney tripped to Missouri for a visit with Isaiah Briscoe and Thomas Bryant. The guard expressed to Daniels that he is unsure when he will make his college decision, but that he is leaning towards a late decision.
Miles Bridges
Miles Bridges, a forward for Huntington Prep, will visit Indiana this weekend, with his teammate and top-100 recruit, Curtis Jones. Bridges, who is ranked as the No. 23 player in the 2016 class by 247Sports, received an offer from the Hoosiers on Oct. 19. He visited West Virginia and Iowa State in September, and 247Sports’ Crystal Ball states that Michigan State has a 100 percent chance at landing the Michigan native.
