VCU’s JeQuan Lewis helped off after hitting his head on the court
The sophomore guard was on the wrong end of an awful fall on Friday.

Scary moment here at the Naval Academy. VCU’s JeQuan Lewis hits head on court. Eyes in back of head. Shaking. Ten feet in front of me.
— Gary Parrish (@GaryParrishCBS) November 15, 2014 JeQuan Lewis helped to the locker room, but the good news is that he was able to get up. Really ugly fall.
— Jeff Eisenberg (@JeffEisenberg) November 15, 2014 Per the broadcast, Lewis is responsive, and the school said he’s questionable to return.
Lewis is a sophomore guard filling in for suspended Rams star Briante Weber. He averaged 5.9 points and two assists in 16.1 minutes per game last season.
VCU is ranked No. 15 in the country in the first AP poll. Shaka Smart’s team was upset in its first game of the NCAA Tournament last season.
Update: Lewis returned to the bench, according to Parrish.
JeQuan Lewis is now back on the VCU bench. I don’t know why he’s back on the VCU bench. But he is back on the VCU bench.
