Insanity is a fact of life in college basketball, and the sport won’t even give you one full night of games before it reminds you of it. On Friday night, Ole Miss hosted Charleston Southern in a game that should have been an early season tuneup for the Rebels. Ole Miss isn’t considered a great team, but the Rebels still finished 19-13 in the SEC lat season. By contrast, Charleston Southern went 13-18 in the Big South.
Well, as the old saying goes, you can throw out the record books when Ole Miss and Charleston Southern hook up. Behind 17 points from guard Arlon Harper and a strong all-around game from Saah Nimley (eight points, 10 rebounds, five assists, two steals), the Buccaneers nipped the Rebels, 66-65. This video above is how it ended.
