The undefeated Kentucky Wildcats will face the UCLA Bruins in the CBS Classic in Chicago this Saturday in hopes of extending their 11-game winning streak. The Wildcats are perhaps the best team in college basketball right now, with superior depth and a decided advantage over most teams with Karl-Anthony Towns and Willie Cauley-Stein on the inside. Not even a season-ending injury to Alex Poythress has slowed them down.

The Bruins are coming off a loss to Gonzaga, and would love to bounce back with an upset win behind the play of guard Bryce Alford and freshman forward Kevon Looney. They know it will be an uphill battle. UCLA has lost bothe of its games against top ten teams this season. At a glance, the Bruins lack the depth and length to match up with the Wildcats.
UCLA’s best shot will be to get multiple players contributing on the offensive end. Five players are scoring in double-digits for the Bruins this season. If they can break down a Wildcats defense that walls off the rim better than anyone, the Bruins might have a shot.

One big matchup
Kevon Looney vs. Karl-Anthony Towns and Willie Cauley-Stein. The UCLA freshman is averaging 14.1 points and 11.6 rebounds per game, but hasn't faced anything like the two Kentucky giants. The battle on the boards will be of utmost importance. The Wildcats excel on the offensive glass while the Bruins make it a point to limit second chance opportunities. Whoever imposes their will on the boards will control the game.
