Oklahoma State dismisses freshman guard Stevie Clark

Oklahoma State guard Stevie Clark has been dismissed from the Cowboy basketball team following his second arrest in five weeks. The school announced the move Monday afternoon, just hours before No. 19 OSU hosted No. 16 Iowa State.

Clark’s dismissal comes a little more than a day after the 19-year-old freshman was arrested on a complaint of “outraging public decency” after he was seen urinating out of the window of an automobile. He was arrested by Stillwater police at 12:46 a.m. Sunday morning and released from jail after bond was posted several hours later.

The arrest was the latest in a string of off-the-court incidents involving Clark. He was sent home in the middle of OSU’s November trip to Florida for the Old Spice Classic after committing an undisclosed violation of team rules. He was then arrested for possession of marijuana on New Year’s Day during a traffic stop along Interstate 35.

Serving as Oklahoma State’s primary backup point guard, Clark is averaging 5.3 points and 2.7 assists per game this season. He scored just one point and dished out one assist in the Cowboys’ loss to Baylor on Saturday.
