No. 12 Virginia clinched the ACC regular season title with an impressive win over No. 4 Syracuse, 75-56. The Cavaliers combined their stout defense with an efficient offensive game, shooting 50 percent front he field.
Syracuse vs. Virginia final score: Cavaliers wrap up ACC title, 75-56
Virginia shocked everyone by holding off college basketball powerhouses Duke, North Carolina and Syracuse for its first ACC regular season title since 2007.

Akil Mitchell carried the load for Virginia, scoring 12 points and grabbing nine boards. The Cavaliers outmuscled the Orange, grabbing 13 offensive rebounds and outboarding Syracuse 39-29 overall. Mitchell finished with five of those offensive rebounds.
C.J. Fair and Tyler Ennis scored 13 points apiece for the Orange, shooting a combined 8-for-24 from the field. Trevor Cooney added 12, hitting three of his 10 three-point attempts.
Syracuse has now lost three of its last four games, after starting the season 25-0.
Virginia clinched its first ACC title since 2007, and just its second since 1995. Saturday also marked the first time the Cavaliers won the conference outright since 1981. I would imagine this game would also flip-flop these teams in the national rankings, with Virginia almost certain to be a top-10 team come Monday.
