Pac-12 basketball tournament 2014 bracket: Arizona looks to cut down nets

The Wildcats won the Pac-12 by three games during the regular season. Can Sean Miller’s boys cut down the nets in Vegas?

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Pac-12 Tournament will take over the MGM Grand Arena from March 12-15. The Pac-12 was one of the deepest conferences in the country this year with nine teams finishing at .500 or better in league play.

The Arizona Wildcats finished the regular season with a 13-3 mark against the Pac-12. All three losses came after the 'Cats lost Brandon Ashley for the season with a foot injury, though head coach Sean Miller has them playing well once again with seven wins in their last nine contests. Arizona employs arguably the best defense in the country and is a dangerous team when it's hitting outside shots.

UCLA is the No. 2 seed, but it stumbled a bit down the stretch, including an inexplicable 18-point loss to Washington State to close out the season. Even with their struggles, the Bruins are loaded with talent with Kyle Anderson and Jordan Adams attacking on the wings. Anderson is one of the more versatile players in the entire country.

Arizona State (3 seed), California (4), Colorado (5), Stanford (6) and Oregon (7) all somehow finished the year 10-8 in conference play. These teams took turns beating each other up all season long, and it’s anyone’s guess who emerges from the pack.
