Madness! Seton Hall beats No. 1 Villanova at the buzzer on ice cold jumper

Later, Villanova.

Villanova headed into its first game of the Big East Tournament as the No. 3 team in the country, looking primed to grab a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Seton Hall finished conference play 6-12. It seemed likely the Pirates were playing their final game of the season on Thursday afternoon. Funny how March has a way of changing things.

Seton Hall led most of the afternoon, but the Wildcats stormed back late and took the lead on a Darrun Hilliard floater. The Pirates were left with just enough time for Sterling Gibbs to do his best Kemba Walker impression and give Seton Hall its first ever victory over a team ranked in the top three of the AP poll. Seton Hall was previously 0-30 in such situations coming into Thursday.
