NCAA bracket 2014: Virginia earns the No. 1 seed in East Region
Virginia leads a mammoth group of top seeds in the East, while Villanova, Iowa State and Michigan State have Final Four dreams of their own. Get your complete, printable bracket here.

Virginia has locked up a No. 1 seed after an impressive run through the ACC, and will be on top of the East Region.
The Cavaliers finished 28-6 (16-2) on the season, and the tournament committee clearly wanted to reward conference champions by putting Virginia over a very strong Villanova. Virginia beat Syracuse by two full games in regular season conference play, and Tony Bennett should be on the short list for Coach of the Year. Malcolm Brogdon leads the balanced Cavs into battle, but with strong teams in all top four seeds, the Cavaliers will have to earn a trip to the Final Four.
On the other side of the bracket is No. 2 seed Villanova. The Wildcats started the year with 11 straight wins, including victories over ranked Kansas and Iowa teams, and lost their first game when they traveled to the Carrier Dome to face Syracuse. Villanova ended up with a 28-4 record, going 16-2 in conference play. Those two losses? Both against Creighton (and neither one of them even remotely close), who finished in second place in the conference, two games behind Villanova.
