The second day of the NCAA Tournament will feature two 11 seeds, Iowa and Tennessee, battling each other, as well as two 16 seeds squaring off for the right to play Wichita State in the second round.

The first game of the night is between Cal Poly and Texas Southern. The Mustangs will be slightly favored in this one after winning the Big West Tournament last week, even though they went just 6-10 against the conference during the regular season. Tip-off for this one is set for 6:40 p.m. ET. The game will be televised on TruTV.

The second game of the night is much more intriguing as Iowa and Tennessee square off at 9:10 p.m. on TruTV. Both teams just barely crept into the field of 68, but there is no denying the talent is there.

The Hawkeyes are one of the nation’s best offensive teams, and a month ago it seemed like they were a lock for the Big Dance. Then they lost six out of their last seven games, thanks mostly to Iowa completely losing its defensive identity. If they can play just a smidgen of defense, their offensive attack is enough to win a couple games in March.

The Volunteers, on the other hand, come into the tournament playing arguably their best basketball of the season. Before losing to top-seeded Florida in the SEC Tournament semifinals, UT had won five in a row. The computers love the Vols, with Pomeroy ranking them as the 13th best team in the country. Iowa is 23rd in the same rankings.

Kevin Harlan, Len Elmore and Reggie Miller will call the action for both games with Rachel Nichols reporting from the sidelines.
