The first round of the CIT concludes with 16 teams fighting to live another day.

SB Nation 2014 NCAA March Madness Coverage

Despite being the most obscure of college basketball's four postseason tournaments, the College Insider Tournament offers a wealth of compelling matchups. Many of the schools in the 32-team field came within just a game or two of securing an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, and several of the first round games on Wednesday feature one or more teams in the top 150 of the KenPom.com rankings.

The 7 p.m. tilt between Cleveland State and Ohio might be the most closely-fought of the bunch. The CSU Vikings are ranked No. 82 according to Ken Pomeroy's rankings and the Bobcats come in at No. 120, both of which are significantly higher than many teams in more prestigious tournaments such as the NIT -- and better than those of nine teams that made the field of 68.

Each first round matchup can be streamed here through CollegeInsider.com’s website. Here’s the schedule for every one of the Wednesday games (all times ET).

Quinnipiac (20-11) at Yale (15-13), 7 p.m.

Towson (23-10) at USC Upstate (19-14), 7 p.m.

Cleveland State (21-11) at Ohio (23-11), 7 p.m.

Akron (21-12) at IPFW (24-10), 7 p.m.

Murray State (18-11) at Missouri State (20-12), 8:05 p.m.

North Dakota (17-16) at Nebraska-Omaha (16-14), 8:07 p.m.

Texas A&M Corpus Christi (17-15) at Northern Colorado (18-13), 9 p.m.

Pacific (15-15) at Grand Canyon (15-14), 9 p.m.
