The first round of the NIT is over, with only three upsets taking place. Top-seeded St. John's was taken down by Robert Morris (which defeated Kentucky in the first round of the NIT last season), while four-seeds Green Bay and San Francisco fell to five-seeds Belmont and LSU, respectively.

Three No. 1 seeds are still alive in the tournament.

The weekend sees some interesting matchups as we head into second-round play. The first two days have just one game apiece, as Robert Morris tries to continue its surprising run against Belmont, and Georgia tries to fend off a Louisiana Tech team and show that it will be a real contender in next year’s SEC.
Most of the action happens Sunday and Monday, however, as all three remaining one-seeds will play. The most interesting game may be Monday’s Florida State-Georgetown contest, but there are plenty of interesting matchups between two- and three-seeds, as well.
Throughout the tournament, radio broadcasts can be found on ESPN Radio, and all games can be viewed online at WatchESPN.
