    The best and worst from Saturday’s action

    The first Saturday of the NCAA Tournament featured a two-point thriller, a big-time upset and a thrilling final minute...in one game. The rest of the day was interesting, but featured a grand total of zero games that were decided by less than seven points. I suppose they can’t all be classics. The opening 48 hours may have spoiled us just a tad.

    THAT SAID: We just want to take a moment to point out that in the middle of a thrilling Harvard comeback against Michigan State in the round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament, TNT took a moment to play us Harvard’s student announcer, and he totally sounded like a Harvard student announcer.

    There were no shortage of storylines in the second round. Whether it be quite a few of the national championship contenders – Florida, Louisville and Kansas immediately come to mind – all getting a serious test, the eight upsets or the five games that went into overtime, there was plenty to keep college hoops fans occupied with.
