NCAA printable bracket 2014: Sweet 16 matchups set

The first week of the NCAA Tournament is in the books and the field has been trimmed to 16. Your bracket is likely busted, but you can start anew with a printable bracket updated through the round of 16.

SB Nation 2014 NCAA March Madness Coverage

It proved to be a wild and entertaining weekend of NCAA Tournament action and now only 16 teams remain in the hunt for the 2014 National Championship. The remaining field includes a few favorites, a few talented teams playing well and a couple of underdogs. Three of the four No. 1 seeds are still alive, with Wichita State the only top seed to fall thus far. At the same time, three double-digit seeds are still playing and at least one will advance to the Elite 8.

Updated printable bracket

The West region isn’t quite chalk, but it’s close. No. 1 Arizona advanced past Gonzaga with ease and will now face No. 4 San Diego State. No. 3 Wisconsin will head to Anaheim to face No. 6 Baylor. The Bears blew bast No. 3 Creighton to keep the top four seeds from advancing.

Things are a little more mixed up in the Midwest region with No. 2 Michigan the highest seed remaining. The Wolverines have been impressive thus far and will now face off against No. 11 Tennessee. The Volunteers beat No. 14 Mercer in the third round to advance. They are one of two No. 11 seeds remaining. No. 4 Louisville had little trouble with No. 5 St. Louis. The Cardinals will now face a familiar foe, going against No. 8 Kentucky. The Wildcats pulled the upset against Wichita State, winning 78-76.

At least one double-digit seed will advance to the Elite 8 from the South as No. 10 Stanford will face No. 11 Dayton in the Sweet 16. Stanford pulled off a 60-57 upset against No. 2 Kansas while Dayton edged No. 3 Syracuse, 55-53. The other matchup in the South will pit No. 1 Florida against No. 4 UCLA. This will be the fourth time the two teams have played in the NCAA Tournament since 2006. Florida won all three, including the National Championship in 2006 and the semifinal in 2007.

Chalk nearly prevailed in the East as well, with three of the top four seeds still alive. Virginia impressed in a 78-60 win against No. 8 Memphis. The Cavaliers will now face No. 4 Michigan State. Connecticut pulled the upset in the round of 32, beating No. 2 Villanova 77-65. The Huskies will travel to Madison Square Garden to face off against No. 3 Iowa State.
