The Barclays Center in Brooklyn will host the ACC Tournament in 2017 and 2018, according to Nicole Auerbach of USA Today. The ACC is expected to announce the news in a press conference on Wednesday.

The Barclays Center is currently home to the Atlantic 10 Tournament, and it will remain so for the next two seasons before giving way to the ACC for two years. The ACC Tournament will be held in Greensboro, N.C. in 2015 and Washington, D.C. in 2016.

The Atlantic 10 Tournament will return to the Barclays Center from 2019-21. For the two years the ACC Tournament takes over the Barclays Center, the Atlantic 10 is looking at either Washington, D.C. or Pittsburgh as possible locations for their postseason tournament.

The ACC Tournament has most often been held in North Carolina, with Greensboro being the popular choice of late. But with Syracuse, Pittsburgh and Notre Dame coming from the Big East, the ACC looked to New York City as a destination for the tournament. With the Big East locked into a long-term deal with Madison Square Garden, the Barclays Center was the next best option.

In addition to the two conferences both using the Barclays Center as a location for their postseason tournaments, there will also be a series of ACC-A-10 doubleheaders at the new stadium.
