Michigan State vs. UConn betting, Kentucky vs. Michigan Elite 8 odds, pick, trends

Kentucky is a rare 8-seed favorite vs Michigan while Michigan State looks to extend its Elite 8 betting streak against Uconn.

The 4-seed Michigan State Spartans are 6-1 SU and 5-1-1 ATS in seven trips to the Elite Eight since 1996.

They’ll try to improve on that record as a 5.5-point favorite against 7-seed Connecticut on Sunday afternoon.

Later in the day, 8-seed Kentucky squares off against 2-seed Michigan as a 2-point favorite.

Michigan State won its sixth straight game on Friday, edging 1-seed Virginia 61-59 as a 2.5-point favorite. The Spartans are now 7-1 SU and 6-2 ATS over their last eight games.

This Michigan State vs. Connecticut matchup is a rematch of the 2009 Final Four game that the Spartans won 82-73.

UConn improved to 5-1 SU and ATS over its last six games with an 81-76 win over Iowa State on Friday. The total has gone OVER in each of the Huskies’ last three games after going UNDER in each of the team’s previous nine.

Connecticut is just 2-5 ATS in its last seven trips to the Elite Eight but 10-4-1 ATS in its last 15 games as the betting underdog overall. This are also underdogs in odds to win the 2013-2014 NCAA basketball championship.

Connecticut vs. Michigan State tips off at 2:20 p.m. ET at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The weekend’s college basketball betting card wraps up with Kentucky vs. Michigan at 5:05 p.m. at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.

Kentucky struck again as a 4.5-point underdog, topping defending champion Louisville 74-69 to advance to the Elite Eight with a 5-1 SU and 6-0 ATS record over its last six games. The Wildcats are 4-1 SU and ATS in their last five NCAA Tournament games against 2-seeds.

The UNDER is 9-3 in Kentucky’s last 12 games as a favorite.

Michigan is 8-1 SU and 7-1-1 ATS in it last nine tournament games after defeating Tennessee 73-71 on Friday. The Wolverines are 10-1 SU and 6-4-1 ATS over their last 11 games overall.
