In a dominant performance, No. 15 Cincinnati held court against No. 20 Memphis, knocking off the Tigers, 97-84. The Bearcats had a marvelous game on both ends of the floor, hitting more than 50 percent of their shots.

Cincinnati keeps pace with Louisville in the AAC, tied atop the standings with one game to play.


No surprises for Cincinnati on offense, as the Bearcats were led by star Sean Kilpatrick. The senior dropped an impressive 34 points, also getting solid help from his teammates. Forward Titus Rubles had a career-high 24 points, just his second double-digit scoring performance of the conference season.
Memphis got a stellar performance from freshman forward Austin Nichols, who shot 7-of-12 from the field for 17 points. Joe Jackson contributed a team-high 21 points in the loss.
With the win, Cincinnati has pulled even with Louisville atop the American Athletic Conference standings. The Bearcats play Rutgers on Saturday, a team they handled 71-51 earlier this season. The Cardinals finish the season at home against Connecticut, whom the Cardinals beat on the road in their prior meeting.
