If the 2014 Nike Hoop Summit was any indication, fans in Durham have a ton to look forward to.
Nike Hoop Summit notes: Duke the big winner in Portland
Tyus Jones, Jahlil Okafor and Justise Winslow all had big games for the USA team at the Nike Hoop Summit.

Duke commits Jahlil Okafor, Tyus Jones and Justise Winslow combined for more than half of their team’s points to lead Team USA to an 84-73 victory on Saturday in Portland, Ore.
All three will play for Coach K in 2014-15, along with five-star guard Grayson Allen, giving the Blue Devils what will surely be the top recruiting class in the nation.
Winslow, a 6’6 guard-forward, led USA with 16 points, while the center Okafor had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Jones, a 6’1 point guard, had 13 points, six assists and five steals.
It seems like Okafor, a Chicago product, was especially impressive. As Christopher Reina of RealGM put it:
Jahlil Okafor continues to look like the most skilled post prospect we’ve seen in years, with a blend of advanced footwork and quickness in spin moves to lose his defender.

Other notes:
- SMU-bound guard Emmanuel Mudiay led all scorers with 20 points for the World team. He is expected to turn the Mustangs into an NCAA Tournament team and possible AAC favorite in 2014-15.
- Forward Kelly Oubre, headed to Kansas, had another 14 points for the USA, though he was just 2-of-7 from three.
- Neither team shot particularly well from long distance, combining for an 8-for-36 mark from three.
- The World team's Trey Lyles, who will play for Kentucky, had a tough shooting night but made up for it with 11 rebounds. He still managed nine points.
- Myles Turner left the game early with an injured ankle that does not appear to be serious. He later told Dime Magazine that he will commit after the Jordan Brand Classic.
