Duke's Rodney Hood will join teammate Jabari Parker in heading to the NBA early. The sophomore forward is expected to make a formal announcement soon, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.
Duke’s Rodney Hood to declare for NBA Draft, per report
You can add Duke forward Rodney Hood to the list of early entrants headed to the NBA.

The 6’8 forward is headed to the NBA after a productive first season with the Blue Devils. He averaged 16.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game last season. He proved to be a versatile player during his career and showed the ability to shoot from deep, hitting 42 percent of his three-point attempts in 2013-14. His scoring was up from his freshman season at Mississippi State, where he averaged 10.3 points per game.
Hood’s decision to declare doesn’t come as much of a surprise since Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski talked openly about the probability of Hood heading to the NBA.
“I wish we had him for more than one year, because the growth that he’s had in this year is terrific, and it’s because he wants to be coached and he takes responsibility,” Krzyzewski said, via the Duke Chronicle. “Anybody’s who’s willing to take responsibility for his or her actions usually does better, and that’s what Rodney does.”
Hood currently projects as a mid-to-late first-round pick. He’s the No. 23 prospect on DraftExpress.com’s top 100.
