A red-hot first-half shooting streak lifted Fresno State to an 89-75 win Wednesday night at Siena in Game 2 of the CBI Championship Series. The series is now tied at 1-1.

The Bulldogs shot 16-of-21 from the field in the first half, including 6-of-10 from three as Tyler Johnson and Cezar Guerrero combined for 25 points to send Fresno State into the locker room up 43-24.

Allen Huddleston scored 12 of his 20 points in the second half to lead five Fresno State players in double figures. Johnson finished with 19.

In the second half, Fresno State extended its lead to as many as 26 before the Saints stormed back in front of their home crowd. They went on a 14-1 run, spanning just over two minutes, to draw to within 13 points at 63-50 with 10 minutes to go.

But that’s as close as Siena would get. Fresno State scored the next five points at the foul line to go back up by 18, putting the game out of reach.

Brett Bisping had 20 points to lead the Saints in the loss.

Fresno State has forced a decisive Game 3, to be played on Saturday afternoon at Siena.
