Kentucky vs. UConn, NCAA Tournament championship score update: Huskies holding slim 35-31 lead
UConn ran away with the game early, but Kentucky made a furious comeback down the stretch and go into halftime down just four points.

The Connecticut Huskies lead the Kentucky Wildcats at halftime, 35-31, but Kentucky made a big enough comeback towards the end of the first half that it's not a comfortable lead by any means.
UConn took control in the first half, ripping off a 11-2 run to take a double-digit lead early on. The run was led by Shabazz Napier and Ryan Boatright, who gave Kentucky's defense fits throughout. DeAndre Daniels put an exclamation point on things with yet another thunderous dunk..
The Wildcats struggled to find the basket, but they did not help their own cause with defensive showings like this one.
The Huskies opened up a 15-point lead on Kentucky at one point, but big deficits are nothing new for the Wildcats this tournament. They used a 12-3 run to get right back into things and entered the locker room down just two possessions. Their late comeback shouldn’t be much of a surprise, given their run through this tournament.
Napier put on a clinic in the first half, scoring 15 points on 6-of-11 field goals. Boatright chipped in eight points and the Huskies shot 50 percent from the floor.
James Young led the Wildcats with 10 points and Kentucky as a whole made 44 percent of their field goals. Julius Randle didn't make much of an impact for most of the half and finished with four points, but he came on strong towards the end.
