Duke dismisses Rasheed Sulaimon from the basketball team
The guard was averaging 7.5 points per game off the bench.

Sulaimon was a McDonald’s All-American and the No. 12 recruit in the country out of Houston in 2012 when he committed to the Blue Devils. He played over 29 minutes per game as a true freshman, but his playing time decreased each of the next two seasons. Sulaimon was coming off the bench to average 7.5 points per game on 41.3 percent shooting from the field in 19.3 minutes per game this season.
Duke is the No. 4 team in the country but has lost three of its last six games, which includes Notre Dame's home victory over the Blue Devils on Wednesday. Duke will still have the talented guard tandem of Quinn Cook and Tyus Jones starting in the backcourt, with Matt Jones and freshman Grayson Allen as reverses.
Duke travels to face No. 2 Virginia on Saturday.
