Iowa and Michigan State just tipped off in Iowa City for one of the bigger games of Thursday night. However, the Hawkeyes and Spartans only have two officials, with a third still on the way. So instead of waiting for the third official — reportedly Chris Beaver — who is having travel issues, Iowa and MSU are just going to play down one ref until whenever he shows up.
Iowa-Michigan State is missing an official
He’s supposed to show up ... sometime.

Only 2 officials tonight for Iowa-Michigan State until sometime in the first half. Get your undocumented fouls in early folks.
— Scott Dochterman (@ScottDochterman) January 8, 2015 This isn't really the fault of the official. It's bitter cold and snowing in Iowa City, and the area is under a winter weather advisory. Nearby counties have a "blizzard warning" and traffic on the highways is moving slowly.
Update: The third ref has arrived!
At least there's three refs now
