John Calipari has found another big man with star potential.

Gabriel became one of the fastest rising players of the summer thanks to a long and athletic frame and an ability to both finish around the rim and shoot from the outside. He joins fellow big man Sacha Killeya-Jones in Kentucky’s 2016 recruiting class.
Gabriel is ranked as the No. 23 player in the 2016 class by ESPN after starting the summer as a fringe top 100 prospect. He joins a Kentucky front court that will lose Alex Poythress to graduation after this season and likely freshman Skal Labissiere to the NBA.
Kentucky’s next target will be combo forward Miles Bridges, who is set to announce his college decision this weekend. Many believe it’s a two-school race between Michigan State and the Wildcats.
