Former Louisville recruit JaQuan Lyle has confirmed the allegations about a staffer paying escorts to entertain and have sex with players, according to CBS Sports’ Gary Parrish.
Former Louisville recruit confirms escort allegations to the NCAA, per report
One of the players named in the book about Louisville’s alleged misconduct came forward and confirmed the allegations involving the procuring of escorts for recruits.

The NCAA launched an investigation after a book called "Breaking Cardinal Rules: Basketball and the Escort Queen" alleged Louisville staffer Andre McGee secured the services of escorts "to dance for and have sex with players and recruits," including Lyle. McGee denied the allegations while Cardinals coach Rick Pittino denied any involvement or knowledge.
Lyle, who committed to Louisville then decommitted to join Oregon before eventually landing at Ohio State, is the second former recruit to be interviewed by the NCAA after Antonio Blakeney and the first to go on the record and confirm the allegations. More could follow, as ESPN's Jeff Goodman points out. If that happens, the NCAA might not even need to call McGee or the co-author of the book, Katina Powell, to give a statement before ruling on the matter.
Lyle knew he had to tell the NCAA the truth, according to reporter Adam Zagoria:
“The NCAA already knows the answers to every question they are going to ask,” a source told SNY.tv. “[Lyle] had to tell them or he was going to get hit with the amateurism issue on benefits.”
Lyle’s eligibility is not likely to be affected by his testimony, according to Ohio State’s director of communications Dan Wallemberg.
