DO NOT FOUL THREE-POINT SHOOTERS. That’s one of the most basic things in college hoops. ESPECIALLY DO NOT DO IT WHEN YOU ARE LEADING BY A FEW POINTS WITH LITTLE TIME LEFT. That’s an addition to that basic rule. MSU forgot that in drastic fashion.
First, Branden Dawson fouled Joey King while he was shooting a three with 14 seconds left. King hit all three. MSU went 1-for-2 the following possession. On the next trip down the court, Gavin Schilling fouled Carlos Morris on ANOTHER three ... and he hit it!

Simply saying the shot didn’t go in and the game went to overtime doesn’t really do the moment justice.
