Northwestern hoops player hits ‘shoot’ button at the wrong time

Northwestern’s Alex Olah lost track of where he was on the court, ended up under the hoop falling out of bounds, and couldn’t really do anything with the ball. He did this:

That’s a layup-type thing taken 6 feet from the hoop (and behind it) that traveled 3 feet and never went over 10 feet in the air. It is beautiful. We genuinely wonder if this gets put down as a shot or a turnover.
