Ever since, the country has been waiting for its next Ridiculously Photogenic college athlete to claim this extremely important designation.
Kansas wing Kelly Oubre is the new Ridiculously Photogenic Guy in college hoops
Basketball is really just one long photoshoot for the Jayhawks freshman.

— Marc Spiegel (@BizSportsX) January 12, 2015 Oubre entered college basketball this season as one of the top recruits in the country, and seemed to arrive with a branding plan already in mind. He told us “marketing is everything” during media day at the McDonald’s All-American Game before he even graduated from high school. He would appear to be the perfect person for this throne.
In a win over Iowa State on Monday, Kansas photographers Jeff and Laura Jacobson busted Oubre cheesin’ during another big dunk:
A quick investigation into our photo database shows this is nothing new: Kelly Oubre loves to smile when he’s on the basketball court.

This isn’t just limited to dunking. Even when Oubre is going up for a rebound in traffic, he’s still mugging for the camera. It happened here against Louisiana Lafayette on Dec. 20.
To be fair, this was a game in which Oubre really did have something to smile about:

Oubre even smiles when he’s making hustle plays. Here he is fighting for a loose ball against Oklahoma on Jan. 19. CHEESE.
