Big Sky Tournament 2015: Bracket, schedule and scores

Eastern Washington is dancing after knocking off Montana.

Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

The Big Sky Tournament tips off on Thursday and runs for three days, with the winner earning the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Top-seeded Montana will host the tournament. The Grizzles earned a share of the regular season title after Eastern Washington stumbled towards the end of conference play. Sacramento State held the top spot for most of the season, but two straight losses to close out the regular season dropped the Hornets to the No. 3 seed.

Those three teams are the big favorites, although Northern Arizona and Northern Colorado are both possible contenders in one of the more unpredictable mid-major tournaments.

The format

The Big Sky has 12 teams, but only the top eight qualify for the tournament. It follows a standard eight-team format with no byes.

The first two rounds will be streamed online at WatchBigSky.com, which requires a free registered account. Mobile apps are also available on iTunes and Google Play. The championship game will be televised on ESPNU.
