The No. 1 seed Kansas Jayhawks defeated the No. 4 Baylor Bears on Friday, 62-52, to advance to the finals of the Big 12 Tournament where they will face the winner of a Friday night game between No. 2 Iowa State and No. 3 Oklahoma.

Kansas defeated Baylor on Friday night to advance to the final in the Big 12 Tournament.


Kansas and Baylor traded baskets and kept close for the first 15 minutes, but the Jayhawks took off with 16-1 run that spanned over seven minutes beginning in the final minutes of the first half and stretching into the first few minutes of the second half. At the end of the run, Kansas turned a 17-16 deficit into a 32-18 lead that was never relinquished.
Sophomore Wayne Selden Jr. led the Jayhawks with 20 points and eight rebounds, making seven of his nine field goals on the night. Kansas finished 42 percent from the field, while Baylor finished at just 32 percent with only four successful 3-point attempts in 22 tries.
