Eastern Washington guarantees win against Georgetown in NCAA Tournament

We tried to tell you about the Eastern Washington Eagles. Jim Hayford’s team finished 26-8 and won the Big Sky tournament to make the NCAA field for only the second time in program history.
Eastern Washington is led by the nation's leading scorer, guard Tyler Harvey, who is the best player the Big Sky has seen since Damian Lillard. On Thursday, the 13th-seeded Eagles will take on No. 4 Georgetown.
Eastern Washington has already beaten Indiana in Bloomington this season. With the game in Portland, it’s much, much closer to home for the Eagles than it is for a Georgetown team flying across the entire country. Combine that with Georgetown’s dubious recent history in the tournament and it’s all made Eastern Washington a popular upset pick. Their coach is buying in.
Appearing on the Jim Rome Show, Hayford closed the interview by saying “We’re gonna win and talk again, Jim.”
