How to watch 2015 NIT 2nd round online, TV schedule, radio and more

There are plenty of interesting matchups in the second round.

Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

The NIT is often called the toughest tournament to predict in college sports, since there are so many different things at play, from motivation to home-court advantage. There were already some unpredictable upsets in the first round of the tournament, with Alabama crushing Illinois and No. 8 South Dakota State taking out No. 1 Colorado State, which was the second-to-last team left out of the NCAA Tournament.

There are more intriguing matchups in the second round of the tournament. Murray State and Tulsa will meet in a battle of two of the top non-Power 5 schools to not make the NCAA Tournament, while Arizona State will travel across the country to meet Richmond, which came on late in the Atlantic 10 this season. Elsewhere, South Dakota State will look to take down Vanderbilt after its big upset over Colorado State, and Alabama — still without a full-time head coach — will travel to Miami, with the Tide coming off one of their best performances of the year in a first-round rout of Illinois.

Sunday and Monday will feature a pair of interesting 2-3 matchups, each featuring a Power 5 school and a non-Power 5 school. Rhode Island will travel to Stanford after a strong Atlantic 10 campaign, while Conference USA champion Louisiana Tech looks like a contender to knock off Texas A&M in College Station.
