Even beyond the Elite Eight, Duke’s run to the Final Four has been exceptional. With back-to-back double-digit wins over their opposition to begin the tournament, the first challenge the Blue Devils faced was a Utah team with considerable NBA talent on their roster. But behind Justise Winslow’s phenomenal play, they ousted the Utes by six in the Sweet 16.
Next, it was their domination of Gonzaga. The Blue Devils were especially impressive on defense against the Bulldogs, shutting down Gonzaga for long stretches of the second half to seal a ticket to the Final Four.
