WCC Tournament 2015: Bracket, schedule and scores

Gonzaga and BYU seem destined for a rematch in the conference title game.

James Snook-USA TODAY Sports

As Feb. 28 turned to March 1 last week, BYU ushered in the month of madness with a late-night upset at Gonzaga. It was a three-point victory for the Cougars, who officially entered the NCAA Tournament at-large conversation by knocking off a team in contention for No. 1 seed on the road.

Now, the Bulldogs probably have revenge on their minds. Gonzaga and BYU finished 1 and 2 in the West Coast Conference and are set up to face each other in the conference title game as long as they can each win two games first.

Gonzaga lost just twice this year -- the other was at Arizona in overtime -- but still may be under-appreciated nationally because of its conference affiliation. Any hope that the Bulldogs might cling to for a No. 1 seed will rely on them winning the WCC Tournament. Meanwhile, BYU is firmly on the tournament bubble and can eliminate any doubt by winning three games and earning the league's automatic bid.

The format

Each of the league’s 10 teams will head to Las Vegas for the WCC Tournament, starting March 6. The opening night will feature two play in games, one between the 8 and 9 seeds, the other between the 7 and 10 seeds. The winners from night one will face the top two seeds in the league. The tournament will take a break on Sunday, March 8 to accommodate BYU.
