NCAA basketball rankings 2015: Duke jumps Virginia for No. 2 spot

Kentucky has officially gone from preseason No. 1 to regular season No. 1 to postseason No. 1, but the fight for the spot just behind the Wildcats got a little bit more interesting this week.

The Virginia Cavaliers may have finished the regular season a full game ahead of Duke in the final ACC standings, and they may be the top seed in this week’s ACC Tournament, but Tony Bennett’s team is staring up at the Blue Devils in the final Associated Press Top 25 poll.

Duke was able to leapfrog Virginia after the Cavaliers were dealt their second loss of the season at Louisville on Saturday. UVA’s only other loss this year came at the hands of the Blue Devils back on Jan. 31.

Kentucky was, as expected, the unanimous No. 1 team for yet another week. The Wildcats are now looking to become the first wire-to-wire No. 1 team since Duke achieved the feat in 1991-92.
