Jayson Tatum is a 6’8 wing from St. Louis who is considered one of the best prospects in a loaded 2016 recruiting class. On Friday, Tatum took to Instagram to reveal his final four schools. Duke, Kentucky, North Carolina and his hometown Saint Louis Billikens have all made the cut.

Tatum is currently finishing up his junior year at Chaminade College Prep in Missouri, but he’s on the radar of every major college basketball program for years. Along with Harry Giles and Josh Jackson, Tatum is thought to be one of the special talents coming out of the 2016 class.

It’s no surprise that Tatum’s final four includes three of the best prestigious schools in college basketball. Duke just won the national championship on the strength of what might be the greatest recruiting class ever in 2014 with Jahlil Okafor, Tyus Jones, Justise Winslow and Grayson Allen. Kentucky just had seven players declare for the NBA draft and become the first team to ever start a season at 38-0. North Carolina is considered a preseason favorite for next year.

Tatum is noted for having great size and athleticism for a wing, as well as advanced ball handling and basketball IQ. He was a member of the USA Basketball U17 team that won gold at the FIBA World Championships this past summer. As one of the younger players in his class, Tatum wouldn’t be eligible to play college ball until the 2016-17 season.
