— Stephen Zimmerman Jr (@BIGG_ZIMM) April 17, 2015 Zimmerman chose UNLV over a number of schools, including Kentucky and Arizona. Zimmerman is rated as the No. 11 player in the class of 2015, according to Rivals. He was selected to compete in the McDonald’s All-American Game, the Jordan Brand Classic and the Nike Hoops Summit earlier this year.
Zimmerman joins a UNLV recruiting class that already includes super athletic wing Derrick Jones, a 6’6 Pennsylvania product who is ranked No. 43 in the class of 2015 according to Rivals.
UNLV finished 18-15 last season. The Running Rebels are awaiting an NBA decision from 6’11 forward Christian Wood, the team’s second leading scorer last season as a sophomore. If Wood returns to school, UNLV could have one of the most talented teams in the Mountain West.
