Rajon Rondo may have played his last game as a member of the Dallas Mavericks. After playing only 10 minutes in Dallas’ Game 2 loss to the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night, the Mavericks are set to rule out Rondo indefinitely with a back injury, according to Marc Stein of ESPN.

Rondo, who will be an unrestricted free agent after this season, never seemed to mesh with coach Rick Carlisle or his teammates in Dallas this season. The 29-year-old averaged 9.3 points, 6.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds in 46 games with the Mavericks after coming over from the Boston Celtics in December.

The numbers show that Dallas as been much better with Rondo off the court through two games in the playoffs. In 37 minutes across two playoff games, Rondo is minus-35 on the floor.

Dallas finds itself trail 0-2 in the best-of-seven series against Houston, but will host the next two games when the series resumes on Friday.

Update: Carlisle responded to the Rondo report:
