Three weeks after winning the national championship, the Duke Blue Devils have reloaded again. Duke put the finishing touches on what’s likely to be considered the best recruiting class in the country by getting a commitment from 6’9 wing Brandon Ingram on Monday. Ingram is the fourth five-star player in Duke’s incoming recruiting class.

Ingram is ranked as the No. 3 player in his class by ESPN. He’s also one of the youngest incoming freshmen in the country, as he doesn’t turn 18 years old until Sept. 2. Ingram played at the McDonald’s All-American Game and the Nike Hoop Summit and showcased a nice shooting touch and an impossibly long frame. He’s likely to fill in for Justise Winslow at small forward in Duke’s lineup.

Ingram joins a recruiting class that already includes center Chase Jeter, point guard Derryck Thornton and shooter Luke Kennard. Duke just lost four starters from the team that won the national title -- Quinn Cook graduated, while Jahlil Okafor, Tyus Jones and Winslow jumped to the NBA after just one season in college. But Mike Krzyzewski’s team is likely to be among the preseason favorites again thanks the recent commitments of Thornton and Ingram.

Ingram, a North Carolina native, chose Duke over Kentucky, Kansas and North Carolina.
