Kentucky didn’t get called for a slap to the face and Twitter freaked out about it

Refs decided against a flagrant foul, which led to the majority of Twitter losing their minds.

With Kentucky and Wisconsin coming down to the wire, every possession is important. That included a Kentucky possession that ended with Wisconsin’s Josh Gasser down on the court after getting hit in the face by Trey Lyles.

Many thought the refs would rule it a flagrant foul, which would have given Wisconsin two shots and the ball. Instead, the refs ruled it was nothing. Twitter did not agree with the call. Here is a sampling:

While many thought that call went against Wisconsin, the Badgers caught a break moments later when they scored on a putback that clearly occurred after the shot clock had expired.
