Frank Kaminsky wins 2015 Naismith Trophy
Wisconsin’s big man is racking up the accolades, including the biggest player honor.

While the Badgers are one game away from winning the highest team honor, Kaminsky has racked up accolades for an excellent senior season. He averaged 18.7 points and 8.1 rebounds per game this season, leading Wisconsin to a 36-3 record and Big 12 regular season and tournament championships. The success has only continued in the NCAA Tournament with Wisconsin knocking off previously undefeated Kentucky on the way to the national title game.
The Naismith award and other accolades cap a tremendous collegiate career for Kaminsky. He didn’t play much as a freshman, averaging just 1.8 points and 1.4 rebounds per game. He had slightly more success as a sophomore before a breakout junior season thrust him into the national spotlight. He followed that with an even better senior season both individually and as a team, with Wisconsin now set to play for the national title.
