2016 could be college basketball’s best recruiting class ever
The recruiting class of 2016 has been receiving some major hype. Does it live up to it?

Ricky O'Donnell has covered basketball at all levels for more than a decade at SB Nation. He’s currently the Associate Director of Programming.
After a busy weekend in the weird world of college basketball recruiting, Scott Phillips of NBC Sports joins the podcast to talk about what he saw on the road. Topics include:
- Thon Maker’s big weekend: Like we said last week, he’s good again.
- Evan Daniels called the class of 2016 “one of the best classes I’ve scouted”. Jerry Meyer of 247 Sports said Josh Jackson -- ranked as low as No. 3 in some publications -- is the best shooting guard prospect he’s ever scouted. So .... is the class of 2016 that good, or is this an example of early hype taking on a life of its own?
- Jason Tatum to Duke: what do we make of Tatum’s game and his commitment? Who else is Duke getting? Is Harry Giles in the bag? What about Dennis Smith and/or Frank Jackson?
- Other big winners from the weekend: Trevon Duval and Michael Porter in the class of 2017.
