The entirety of the college basketball world descended on Las Vegas this weekend for the final days of the July evaluation period. For college coaches, this is the last time they’re allowed to be in the gym scouting the best high school players in the country up close and personal. For players, this is a golden opportunity to boost your profile and earn new scholarship offers.
The best AAU performance of the summer had Jabari Parker going crazy
Zach Norvell dropped 53 points on 14 three-pointers Saturday night in Las Vegas.

One player who took advantage of the opportunity is Chicago native Zach Norvell. Norvell is a 6’4 shooting guard ranked No. 85 in ESPN’s class of 2016 ranking. He has offers from Illinois, Wake Forest, and Florida State, and after what he did Saturday night, he may get a few more.
Playing for the Mac Irvin Fire, Norvell hit 11 three-pointers in the first half and 14 for the night on his way to 53 points. It made a for good looking stat sheet:

Norvell is entering his senior season at Simeon, the same school that once produced Parker and Derrick Rose. Parker, who also played for the Mac Irvin Fire in his prep days, has been in Vegas helping coach his former club this week.
