Indiana basketball has found itself making headlines for the wrong reasons once again. Two Hoosiers players, including incoming freshman Thomas Bryant, have been cited for illegal possession of alcohol, according to local news station WTHR 13.

Bryant and sophomore guard Emmitt Holt were each ticketed at 12:50 a.m. on Aug. 21. This is not Holt’s first offense.

Holt was cited for illegal consumption and driving under the influence when a car he was driving hit teammate Devin Davis last November. Davis was sent to the hospital in serious condition at the time and suffered a head injury.

Indiana basketball players were at the center of numerous drug- and alcohol-related offenses a year ago. Troy Williams and Stanford Robinson were each suspended four games at the start of the season for failing a drug test. Big man Hanner Mosquera-Perea, who has since transferred, was cited for OWI, while senior-to-be point guard Yogi Ferrell and Robinson were also each cited for underage consumption in April of 2014.
