Buddy Hield went full on Steph Curry mode vs. Texas Tech

We love watching Buddy Hield play basketball.

Buddy Hield is the most electric scorer in college basketball, and on Tuesday night he was in a special zone against Texas Tech. Oklahoma — still the No. 1 team in the country even after last week's loss at Iowa State — blew the doors off the Red Raiders, 91-67, powered by another terrific effort from their senior player of the year candidate.

Hield dropped 30 points on only 12 shots from field by making 5-of-8 three-pointers and 7-of-8 free throws. The longball will always be Hield’s bread and butter even as he’s expanded his game this season, and there was no question he was feeling it from the outside against Texas Tech:

It really isn’t hard to make the case that Hield is college basketball’s Steph Curry, at least in the sense that he’s the best show in the sport (even if he’s obviously nowhere near the same caliber of player). When Hield is cooking, it’s must-see TV.

Curry would approve of these handles:

Oklahoma also had three other players score 13 or more points in this game, but it’s easy to forget that when Buddy is going wild. We love watching it happen.

Duke struck gold again. The NBA is already salivating over Joaquim Boumtje Boumtje for 2028.
