Dayton’s Josh Cunningham suffers scary leg injury on game-sealing dunk vs. Alabama
A big non-conference win for Dayton doesn’t matter much right now. Let’s hope Josh Cunningham is OK.

Dayton and Alabama played one of the best games of ESPN’s Tip-Off Marathon. The Flyers took control late and sealed the victory on this game-ending dunk by forward Josh Cunningham. Horribly, Cunningham suffered a leg injury on the play and was screaming as he was carried off the floor.
Dayton won, 77-72, but that doesn’t matter much right now. Cunningham was excellent against Bama, putting up 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the floor in his second game for the program. Cunningham sat out last season as a transfer from Bradley and was expected to provide the Flyers with some athleticism in the front court. Let’s hope he’s OK.
