Duke’s Grayson Allen tearfully apologizes after tripping another opponent
Duke’s star guard was busted again.

Ricky O'Donnell has covered basketball at all levels for more than a decade at SB Nation. He’s currently the Associate Director of Programming.
Grayson Allen has struck again. The Duke star was given a technical in the first half against Elon for tripping Steven Santa Ana. This is the third time Allen has been caught tripping an opponent. He did it against Louisville last season in February, then did it again later in the month against Florida State.
Duke has suspended Allen indefinitely for the act.
Allen had a full blown meltdown on the bench after receiving the T. He didn’t play the rest of the first half as Elon took a 35-34 lead into the break. Duke would come back to win the game, and Allen finished the game with 21 minutes.
After the Blue Devils’ 72-61 victory, an emotional Allen apologized and called his move “selfish.”

Coach Mike Krzyzewski was critical of Allen after the game, but stopped short of saying he would be suspended at the time.
What Grayson did was unacceptable. - Coach K
