Boise State player flips off Utah State fans who have a history of mocking his weight
Nick Duncan had a gesture for a fan base with a history of mocking him.

Boise State big man Nick Duncan must have enjoyed every second of the Broncos’ 83-80 (the score in the tweet is wrong) win over Utah State on Wednesday. Duncan walked off the floor giving the middle finger to Utah State fans after finishing with 18 points and five rebounds to get Boise off to a 1-0 start in the Mountain West.
Before you get upset, realize there’s some history here.
The Utah State fans like to make fun of Duncan. At 265 pounds, Duncan has an atypical frame from a basketball player, who are usually tall and skinny. Opposing fans have used this as an opportunity to mock him for being fat.
“Duncan Doughnuts! Duncan Doughnuts!” the fan screamed at the top of his lungs so that everyone could hear him in the half-filled Honda Center. It’s an insult Duncan hears all too often, but the Australian had a typically mellow response to it when asked about it
“You heard one guy screaming ‘Duncan Doughnuts,’” Duncan told CBS Sports after the game. “At Utah State, I had about 10,000 people screaming that.”
This isn’t Duncan being classless. It’s him responding to a group of fans who have a history of being jerks to him for no reason. You do you, Nick Duncan.
