Maryland’s Diamond Stone suspended for shoving opponent’s head to the floor

Maryland’s Diamond Stone has been suspended for one game after an incident during a game on Saturday. Stone was accessed a technical foul against Wisconsin when he shoved Vitto Brown’s head into the court. Stone was not ejected during.

Wisconsin fans were up in arms that Stone was hit with a technical foul but not a flagrant 2 (which would have resulted in an ejection) for this head shove on the Badgers' Brown Saturday night.

Frustrating Badger fans even more was the fact that Wisconsin’s Charlie Thomas was also hit with a technical foul for going after Stone following the shove, meaning both teams came out of the scrum shooting an equal number of free-throws.

Stone will sit out Maryland’s game against Minnesota on Thursday.
